Courtesy of We Will Not Be Tamed partner King Ranch Saddle Shop

By joining or renewing your membership with Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) between January 1, 2019 to September 15, 2019, you are automatically entered to win the giveaway.

The price of membership pays for TPWF membership only and not for the chance to win the weekend hunt on a ranch in South Texas.

The weekend hunt is only available for one TPWF member on December 6-8, 2019

Eligibility deadline for this experience is September 15 and winner will be notified by September 16. Winner will then have 5 business days to confirm availability to attend the weekend hunting experience before a new winner is selected. Prize is non-transferrable, and winner must be a current member of TPWF.

Lodging and meals will be included in the offer; however, transportation to and from the South Texas ranch is not included.

WEEKEND DETAILS:

The TPWF Giveaway winner will join a Mentored Hunt with a small group of TPWF Stewards of the Wild members, courtesy of King Ranch Saddle Shop.

Stewards of the Wild, TPWF’s young professionals’ organization, began hosting mentored hunts in 2018 to engage more of their members in hunting, particularly members with little to no experience. However, like most Texans, Stewards’ primary barrier to hunting is access to land and hunting opportunities. In an effort to increase these opportunities for Stewards, TPWF is partnering with landowners and mentors to host mentored hunts in a way that is beneficial to all parties involved, the mentee, the mentor and the landowner.

Press and Media

All participants should be aware that throughout the weekend Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and the King Ranch Saddle Shop will be documenting this mentored hunt experience both from the Stewards of the Wild perspective and the Foundation’s We Will Not Be Tamed program. This will include video, photography, and audio of the entire weekend. This documentation will be shared in several platforms including social and digital media outlets that Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and the King Ranch Saddle Shop manage. Communication of these narratives is important to inform others on the importance of hunting as a wildlife management practice and encourage them, especially first time and inexperienced hunts to participate. By participating in this hunt, you agree to be filmed, photographed or recorded.
